CULTURAL COMPONENT
The supporting material reflects everyday life in Flanders.
The documentary section of the video units focuses on socio-cultural aspects of Flemish/ and or Belgian society.
We link this material with our visits to Brussels, Brugge en Ghent.
Total hours of activities: 12 h
RECOGNITION / ECTS
Students receive an official certificate with reference to the levels used by the Nederlandse Taalunie. Students who are positively assessed obtain 4 ECTS credits (workload 120 hours)
EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES
A1 (breakthrough) & A2 (waystage) of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. After the course the students should be able to:
Say hello and goodbye in a formal and informal way.
Give personal details about theirselves.
Outline their family.
Describe the Belgian federation.
Make an appointment.
Have a (phone)conversation.
Distinguish and spell properly short and long vowels.
Formulate a simple negative statement.
Ask and tell what time it is.
Ask someone for the way.
Understand and formulate questions words.
Form and spell plural nouns and adjectives.
Make proper use of ‘er’ as a subject.
Formulate a condition.
Express doubts, worries and fears.
Construct complex sentences.
Give opinions.
Talk about actions in the present, the past and the future.
Make a proper use of Dutch ‘reflexive verbs’.
Form an imperative.
Go shopping.
Construct superlatives and comparatives.
Identify people and things or give additional information using a simple relative clause
